Magnificat's Curriculum
Challenging Students in Core Subjects & Broadening Academic Interests

Magnificat’s curriculum challenges students to delve deeply into core subjects and broaden their academic interests into new areas. Our college preparatory courses emphasize critical thinking, experiential learning, and meaningful connections to the outside world. Gospel values and Catholic Social Teaching are integrated throughout all disciplines and courses.
Every student takes a core academic program that will provide a comprehensive foundation which will prepare her for any college major.
Additionally, there are currently 35 AP and Honors level courses for those who show exceptional interest and ability in a particular area. Each student will create her unique program design, incorporating elective options from several areas of focus.

Magnificat students grow holistically through active participation in independent and collaborative learning, development of creative and critical thinking skills, and active pursuit of leadership and service both in and beyond the classroom.

Academic departments are led by faculty chairs who are experts in their fields and collaborate across disciplines. The Magnificat faculty is committed to professional growth, brings expertise to the content area, and uses current pedagogy, resources and technologies to challenge, engage, and inspire learners. Field trips and guest speakers enhance the educational journey and inspire students’ studies throughout their time at Magnificat and beyond.
